4.71 in my eyes is Hypo too.
My TSH is good at 2.3
Any hugher or lower than that and I am a mess.

The American Thyroid Association revised the TSH in 2004 and states that .3 to 3.0 are correct reference ranges to use to diagnois thyroid disease disorders.
the OLD ranges which are still established in many offices are .5 to 5.5.
So it depends on what reference range the lab that reads your test uses.
Really for me - personally - 4.71 to devasting to my well being with hypothyroidism. I hate being over 1.5 truthfully.
I am symptom fee around a .8- but my Ft3 and Ft4 labs have to be within a certain level too.
