what exactly is lateral ischemia, and what is the treatment.

by Cleveland Clinic, May 09, 2008 08:50PM
It means decreased blood flow to the lateral ( meaning on the side) portion of your heart. Medical treatment can be used if the patient is asymptomatic, but for most people with any symptoms at all a left heart catheterization and stenting are the most likely treatments. For others bypass surgery may be required.
