Glycerin soap isn't bad. Tea tree oil soap or other products for oily skin with tea tree can be helpful. Aveeno makes a lotion with salicylic acid in it for acne-prone skin. You can use white vinegar as an astringent at bedtime. It causes temporary redness, which is why you use it at night. If it's too strong, you can dilute it with witch hazel. For new spots you can treat them with toothpaste; it dries them out quickly. Neem soap is also good for acne.
