Can quit Norco after 17 years?

I've been taking hydrocodone for more than 17 years. Started with the 500 mg , now take Norco for many years. I have realized that these pills make you kind of stupid, not think clearly... isn't that funny after so many years!!  Well, I am down to two pills a day. I read something about cutting down by 25 % after 4 days... So, I don't know what to do.. not to mention, I have to count on myself... I am scared to just quit since I've taken them for so many years... I cut down by more than half this past week and i've been sick enough to stay mainly in bed. Horrible headaches, asperins, stomach aches, intestinal problems... Aching... my entire body aching.. So, my question is, WHAT WILL HAPPEN after I stop them???? and what??? I dont' know what to expect... This time I am determined to completely QUIT them.. They are BAD NEWS.. cause more pain when you take them too long.. So, I look forward to much less pain once I quit these pills.. and to be able to think clearly again!!! YAY!!! Anybody know what I should expect please?? Pretty please??

Suzz-   You've got 3 threads going on this first forum page and you keep commenting on all three.  Now this one is up to 85 posts. It's very difficult for us to follow you and much of what you're writing is repetitive now.

My suggestion would be for you to start a brand new thread and post ONLY to that new one from now on.

Good job on those 4 days. After 22 years, that's an accomplishment.

Yes this is the right place . Glad You are doing better friend ;)))  are you doing this on a phone ?  If you stop posting on the other threads they will fall to the back pages .I also left instructions on your other thread on how to find this one if you are on a pc or laptop . My sister said to me yesterday after I told her its been 4 days.. She said, you look good! I said, I do?? I don't feel like I look good.. I was shocked that she said I looked good... very strange to me that she could think I looked good when I felt so poorly.. but, I know she meant it.. She really thought I looked good.. I think that makes me not only shocked, but feel good about that... I think I am thinking differently now... I think my hair is too long.. It seems it grows so much longer every day... that is weird.. Rapunzel rapunzel.. let down your hair.. LOL!!!! I'm so funny... I make me laugh... my stomach hurts again..I hate when that happens... but , she said I looked good! things get curiouser and curiouser...

I can't believe ! 4 days with no pills... Looking at me in the mirror I was thinking... you look okay...your hair is way too long... but pretty still... I am still me... 4 days no pills, I am proud of myself.. yes, I am... I thank God..
