Oh ok. Well thanks.
I'll let you know how it goes (me quitting)
I've taken Gravol on and off for more than a decade since I got diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I read about it on Google as well as a few case studies. Withdrawal is only experienced when someone is abusing the medication(taking large...and I mean LARGE) doses to get high and hallucinate. I promise you if you are taking one or two a day that this will not happen to you.
I read it on someones post and I read it on google.
How long have you been on gravol?
Absolutely talk to a doc. So often we just take pills to treat symptoms and it is SO important to discover what is actually causing these symptoms. I promise you will not go through withdrawal from Gravol. Who told you this? I have taken regular dosage of it (2 every 4 hours) for periods of time and then stopped when I no longer needed it and felt nothing. I've also been on IV Gravol in the hospital for up to 3 weeks, and stopped once the problem was fixed and again- no withdrawal. I am curious as to why you fear this? The nausea and dizziness is definitely something you need to get to the bottom of.
Just so you know- using a medication for a medical problem is NOT the same as abusing it. Which is what addiction is. Please speak with your doctor and get some answers soon.

Oh really? That makes me feel better.
I forgot to say I've been taking them for about 2-3 years.
I guess you're right cuz my bf takes more then I do and nothing happens to him when he doesn't take any for a few days.
I'm just scared I'll be sick if I just stop taking them.
I've heard people get really sick and have bad withdrawals when they quit.
I haven't talked to a doctor about how I feel but I'm planning to.
I should switch to the ginger gravol
Sweetheart this is not a reaction to the Gravol. It does not cause withdrawal when taken daily. It sounds like perhaps you have a medical problem that the Gravol is helping and you need to get some tests done. If you are feeling dizzy and nauseous often this is a symptom of something happening with your system. Taking one Gravol a day is not causing these symptoms. It is a relatively safe drug and used daily for many patients (including children) suffering illnesses such as Crohn's disease (which is one of my illnesses) Have you discussed your symptoms with a doc? Had blood work done? A stool sample? I get freaked when I run out of Gravol too, because it is often the only thing that helps my nausea. Sometimes I take the straight up Ginger natural kind because it is just as effective and does not make me drowsy when I need to function during the day. This does not denote addiction (trust me I've been addicted to many things) It denotes a medical condition. You are not abusing this medication. I too have a fear of vomiting and will do almost anything to prevent it...Unfortunately for me it is a regular happening with my illness. Please talk to a doctor and keep in touch and let us know how you do.

Finally! Someone who knows what gravol is.
I take one every night to sleep. Sometimes I'll take one during the day when I feel nauseous. Before I only took half a night and nothing during the day. But I started feeling weak and sick so I started taking a whole pill. I feel like I always need them with me. I buy more when I think I'm going to run out.
I'm scared to quit because of the withdrawals.. I don't wanna suffer through it. I tried quitting once and I was throwing up the next day and I ending up taking gravol. I have a fear of vomiting.
idk what to do.
I always feel dizzy
Hi There and Welcome to the Forum-
How much gravol are you taking and why? How do they make you feel? I use gravol fairly regularly (often daily) for nausea related to my chronic illness. It helps the nausea and helps me sleep. I have heard that taking large quantities can induce some sort of stoned state and yes, they can definitely cause rebound anxiety. They are not a known addictive drug but any substance can be addictive. What scares you about quitting?
