My story&what helped me for withdrawls of presription opiates

I just hope this helps those wanting to/are quitting opiates.THIS IS WHAT I DID C/T.I know or learned rather on this amazing site there are tons of ways to ease withdrawls I want to share what worked great for me.1ST I was taking from10-15(10/500)lortab a day as much as I could when I ran out of my script I would go  only a couple days them get JUST enough from my mother n law too NOT go through full on D/T.Anyway after my hubby(who hates these things)went2his brothers wedding4-3days n another state I had42 when he left&they were gone in less than3days.I didnt plan on quitting til he said he was misderable,if I don't quit he wanted to seperate(we have2year old we both adore).He said this before but he went n2how I'm not the same person etc.Well I decided then&there as I saw my mom abuse pills from13-20+she used breast cancer(masectomy&radiation)/hystorectomy when I 13 as her excuse but WAY OVERBOARD4YEARS.I wanted better for me&more important my family.Anyway I was blessed that my husband has my back and that he had clonidine for blood pressure(also works for lowing adrenaline).I took that3-5times a day,xanax I'm prescribed as well and prescribed sleeping meds(although I still had SOME sleepless nights).I went C/T from them felt really bad for a few days(if u can get clonidine it works wonders).NO OPIATES for16-17days now.I feel great now.I'm also on cymbalta(for depression but they have a non narcotic pain reliever too).I have realized my pain is SO much less than I thought.I have energy to get up and do things and everyday is  better than the last and no mood swings or not getting out of bed w/o tabs.I hope this can help someone as I didn't know about this forum until I was a few days n2detox but it helps so much.I still have cravings but I've learned that the busier u r the less u think about it.I thank god everyday for the strength and come here especially when I'm craving for support.

BTW GET CYMBALTA FOR SURE.I tried others(celexa was the last)this is the best&soon were gonna have to change that name from sadwoman to I DID IT4GOOD!!! KEEP ME POSTED

Im telling u that works amazing.Its used2help lower blood pressure but google it the1st thing u c is to help withdrawls of opiates(even heroin which I believe is the ONLY opiate u can actually die from w/d) so u know it worked great.If ur sox knows the situation they  will give it to u if u havent said anything them just say u feel aggresive/aggitated something like that looked up what a friend told u they take and it describes ur symptoms of how i feel.Its simple2get cause non narcotic&NOT addictive.Remember take more than prescribed(says1-3times a day).I took 4-7+ pñ my WORST w/d days.Im on day
16still taking1-3cause my bodys still producing too MUCH adrenaline but u might b different.Sorry I post so MUCH just wanna b VERY CLEAR

That makes sense, jeez no wonder my anxiety got so bad..I already make way too much adrenaline having the anxiety disorder but add to that the opiate addiction and my bloods probably 99% adrenaline!! I'll definitely be looking into the clonidine tomorrow.

I was depressed before too.This is great.Im telling u the colonidine made SO MUCH difference while n withdrawl at least for me.The things is it lowers adrenaline which I am told is a HUGE factor of the anxiety,anxiousness,sleeplessness etc.because ur body has2use alot of it to keep u up on the opiates(as they slow ur breathing&other stuff)so ur body amps up the adrenaline expecting u2need it.

I'm jumping tommorow, helpful to know. I already have xanax but will be going to see the doc and ask for clonidine. Think I might inquire about cymbalta too. I had depression before becoming an addict and I know from the past that quitting makes the depression much much worse so this might help. Thanks you for posting.

VERY MUCH.I was so down all the time and thought they werent working but within3days if being off the pills my spirits lifted and it does feel better EVERYDAY

Also I forgot to mention for those who gain weight when they have been on pills I did too...A LOT(OVER40POUNDS)I have already started losing weight.O can fit into pants I outgrew before Christmas so that feels amazing as well
