Possible relapse?????

I have been dreading this post, but I have to do it. I do not want to go into all the details of it, but I need to post. On Friday night, I got into a huge fight with my a$$hole spouse. Let's just say that I was in some major pain and so I took 3 Vicoden. The strength was 5/500....my DOC was Lortab 10/650. I took one pill every four hours starting at 4a.m. and ending at noon Saturday. By Saturday night, my stomach was in so much pain that I couldn't even walk, so I went to the ER, when I got there, my blood pressure was through the roof and they gave me an IV, then I was given 2 doses of Dilaudid (which I had never had before), and then 2 hours later, I got a 3rd dose of Dilaudid. I got a bunch of tests done and all the fun stuff, but my main concern is whether or not this is a relapse? I have not taken anything since the ER visit.

Worried, Thank you!!!

Mike, my use before this was a prescription of my own, I was on Lortab 10/650 for a total of about 7 years, and never took more than the prescribed amount, I came to this forum because I knew that I was dependent on them and was addicted even though I never took more than prescribed. I knew that I was taking them for emotional pain more than physical pain at that time. I took 3 Vicoden 5/500 on Saturday morning, one at 4am, one at 8am, and one at noon. I did not and have not had any more other than the shots of Dilaudid given by the Emergency Room.

If you took them for pain as you said you only took them every four hours My opinion is no thats not relapse for the recreation of it. Who could accuse you of doing wrong if you were in pain or the alternative no  one should throw stone at you. LOL You are doing right though by cleaning your soul and just don't let it get outta hand because for me it could right off but will not say never going to take anything for pain although if I have to one day I might have to be put in the hospital yto be in a protected enviroment to do so because of my addiction, personality and gluttony when it comes to opiates. I don't know how much or how you used but that sounds to me like taking pain meds for the real reason they are intended for so don't sweat it much. Did you have any Mother's Day at all. I am sorry that Friday and Saturday were not that well for you and hope today and this week makes up for it and is a great one becausxe you are a wonderful person who deserves it.

Definitely not a relapse, hon.  You WILL get that 90 days...and 120, ...and.

Please let us know when you hear back from the Specialist.  You "family" on this site would like to know.

Our prayers are with you.
