Just go to the ER and claim you are in serious pain! You will have to wait a while in the 'waiting room' but in the end they will probobly prescribe you 15-30 5/500's. I mean, that's just an option for a last resort i guess!?!?! Your Dr, won't find out. It's not like you've done something like that before.... Oh and if you do go to the ER, they will ask you if you have a primary care provider, well, say no. lol
I know its no fun...been there recently!! It may actually make you think twice about getting your scrips refilled if you get to 3 weeks.. pretty unpleasant! hope you feel better soon!
alot depends on how much you took each day...if u were taking alot of soma daily..that has to be tapered...if u were at over say 100 mg of hydro then CT will be a bit tough and u will feel flu-like til next week sometime...if u were at like 30-50 mg a day of hydro u should feel better in a few days...I was at 80-100 mg a day for 4 years and felt fluish for 3-4 days/back to work day 5? no RLS, no vomiting...my bowels were my worst problem but imodium would stop that quicly/liquid worked fasted...u need something to help u sleep...do u have any phenergan? melatonin or valerian root also helps....stock up on EmergenC from walmart and push fluids all day..and exercise as much as u can..when u feel ur worst..hit the door and tour the block..helps the anxiety and depression u may feel..hot baths and staying busy helps...have u looked at the thomas recipe?
A bag of "pebbles!?!" lol OMG that *****!!!! I would have been PISSED and that guy would not be walking right now. lol.
Thanks for the reply. I was in the bathroom and sweat poured off me and then I was freezing sweating like I had run for miles. I could get acquitted for what I think about doing to him. Immodium is now on my list.
Hmmm, problem is "stolen meds" is high on the list of "abberrant drug seeking behavior". I would NOT tell the Dr. someone stole them, Maybe you took a shower and left the cap off the bottle and they all got wet and turned to mush??? Did Brother take the bottle or just what was in it? Doctor's are under oath to provide care first and foremost. Withdrawal is not something you should "just do" because you find yourself in a predicament. You are not prepared for this at all and my gut says no matter what, if this is the first time this has happened to you with this doc, and he is decent, he will re-fill but don't let it happen again. Discuss with him how you felt these past few days and your concern and surprise at how awful you feel. Tell him you think you might like to try a taper and together you can form a plan. Take good care:) ps. By no means am I discouraging your instinct to put them down, take a break, switch to non-narc pain meds, etc, it's just that I've been doing this and have done it myself too many times to ever urge or even support the cold turkey method.
