*SMOKING OXY AND PREGO :(

Hi. Well im 26 weeks pregnant with my first child and im having a girl. And I have a problem, I have been smoking Oxycodone 30 MG on the tin foil for about a year now, during the first trimester I have not been smoking Oxy maybe a Hit or two here and there and i dont do it everyday. latley Ive been smoking but still not alot, maybe 6 pills a week. My boyfriend has them perscribed to him and gets about 160 a month, and when he gets his scripts i smoke about 8 during the weekend. I know what i am doing is wrong and i feel so guilty for doing this to my baby girl. I love my baby so much trust me i really do. I go the week without smoking anything and when the weekend comes i find myself getting high. In a smoking session I take about 4 or 5 hits. Nobody knows I smoke exept my boyfriend, yeah i know how bad that sounds, but he is totally against me smoking, Im the one that insist i do it, and if he doesn't give me any I will take from him and smoke a pill bymyself. Like I said I dont do it everyday, please dont judge me. I feel the guilt in my heart and believe me I am a good person with a good heart. But I juss want to know will my daughter be born slow or anything??? As of now i am not going to do oxy for the rest of my pregnancy. I need support from women who have been there and can help me!!!! but will my baby be born slow or have problems?????????? cuz i read that Oxycodone may NOT have any effect on the baby and HAS ANY ONE DONE OXYCODONE WHILE PREGNANT AND HAD A HEALTHY BABY AT BIRTH???? when i go to my doctors and ultrasound appointments the doctor says that my baby looks fine and she is the size that she is supposed to be. I juss want to stop doing what i am doing to my baby girl. she does not deserve any of it. but please ladies if you could help me out!!!!!! thank you so much!!!!!! pls help me!!!!!!!!!!

but i dont have any pills to take right now it's all gone, so going complety off is the only option I have, and my doctor cannot see me until tuesday and today is Thursday, so what do u suggest I do?? all the pills are gone already!

If you stop cold turkey,you will have withdrawals. I have to disagree with Crys833. So,be careful there.

Anybody with personal experiences with using wile pregnant. pls share if you feel confortable doing so.

I have 3 daughters, so I'm speaking to you from a mother's heart :) I'm glad you're going to talk to your Dr. that's the best thing to do, they've heard it all before and if you are wanting to be proactive with this problem then your GP will be understanding. Keep us posted on how you are doing, and post on this forum when you are craving oxy's or feeling down, it really helps. People are very supportive here, no judgement. You should check out the pregnancy forum too if you haven't already!

Thank you. your words really touched my heart, every single word you said was true... as a matter of fact what all u ladies said has touched my heart.. Im just thinking about that day in the hospital when she is born and I get to see her! I want to see a healthy baby, with no withdrawls and no effects because what I have done while pregnant... im gonna talk to my doctor, and it will be a fresh start for both me and my baby... i hope it's not too late. by the way My due date is MAY-4th...

You have to quit. You probably won't have wd's from your oxy use so before this gets any worse, try and stop. Do it for your baby, tell your boyfriend to keep all the pills away from you and become accountable to yourself and your baby. I don't like sounding so blunt about this I believe you are a good person and now it's time for you to be a good mother! I just don't want you to have any regrets when you look into your baby girls eyes. Becoming a mother is a privilage and it's up to you as the mother to sacrifice your wants to give this baby the best start in life. I don't want you to feel any remorse when you give birth, especially if the baby is born with opiates in her system. If you quit now you can save that from happening, the power is within you to do this for you and your child. I wish you the best :)
