It depends on what kind of work you do. I sit at a computer all day and am pretty much alone, so I don't have people bugging me constantly (face to face) or a boss hanging over my shoulder either. Ensure, Immodium, Excederin/Advil, light snacks, fluids, a pillow for a nap in your car and might I add an Ipod helps quite a bit too. Forcing something else into my pea brain helps me not think so much and if you can, go for a walk on your breaks.
Thank you PorVida. If you don't mind, what type of work do you do and did you take Tylenol, etc?
Ps- i understand you need to work, but as long as you have pills around, or access to them, you will likely take them. Get rid of them! :)
I worked from day 4 on. I used items from Thomas recipe, including Imodium, to help me along. It stunk, but it was doable. Try Imodium, bring ensure shakes with you, and take omegas and a multi-v before you leave each morning. Can you take off for days 1-3, or 2-3? Bring something small and motivational to read, like a little quote or prayer, to help you through.
Ugh. I feel for you. Let us know how it goes. I've worked while withdrawing these last two weeks and honestly it hasn't been that bad. But then I haven't been to the point where I have gotten NO sleep...I think maybe that (or diarrhea) could be a deal breaker.
Good luck :/
