how can i safely get off of hydracodone while being 5 months pregnant?

i started taking hydracodone about a year ago about 4  10 mg.a day. when i became pregnant i wanted to just stop and i have tried  to cut down but i am averaging 8 pills  a day. i feel deeply remorseful, i have nightmares and im really scared. im overwhelmed with guilt and need some inspiring words from someone out there...

yeah youll be ok dont worry to hard its not that bad, your baby will be born health, just stop all together on the norco's and everything will be ok

Best to talk to ur dr cos ur pregnant..otherwise..i would ct as "cutting down" is hard for an addict..so dont feel like u r a loser..I never could taper either
ask ur dr...80 mgs a day is not horrific and very do-able..there r some articles on pregnancy and narcotics in the health pages...he will wantu to taper if he understands addiction/many drs do not
If u really wanna do this, u may need to hand ur pills over to a trusted one...write out a taper and pick a quit day, cut off all sources of the pills including refills..find a meeting or support of some type...and Go for it

You should talk with your doctor and let them know the truth if they do not already know....usually in cases like these the baby is born addicted to the drug and will go through horrible withdraws.....they will have to be placed on methadone.....I only know this from working in pediatrics for so long......These types of things are so common these days
this is something you can make it through and you will make it through...but please get help asap because babies like this are almost always born premature or have low birth weight and etc.....does your family know you are using while pregnant? If you want the safest delivery for you and baby get help now.I am very educated in this area and if you have anymore questions please ask I am here for you if you need anything.....I myself am 18 days clean from using upto 14 hydrocodone pills a day!! I never used while pregnant but I did stop cold turkey with all 3 and I was really sick for about 1 week and was all better .....ttyl

Can you talk to your doctor,I think that's your safest bet.You may have to wait but just tell your doctor,please.And the best of luck to you.
