Thank you for your kind words. I was thinking I'd count this as a small victory but...no...I think it is a BIG victory for me. Still clean with those pills right in my hand for a few minutes!!! Now I'm assuming they were THE pills; I did not open the package to check. I didn't want anything to stand in the way of being able to send them back. Thanks again for your encouragement!
WOW I am very, very proud of BOTH of YOU. That took some Strength for sure. Although I already new about FourJays, now I am hearing more and more about this. I guess we really have to fight for our Life out here in this Big Would. Geeezzz Man-o-Man what is going on out here.
Congratulations to you Both for what you did.
Bless
Thanks for your post, FourJays. I am lucky that our mail carrier brought it to my door even though there was no signature required. She was hesitant to let me refuse it because she was afraid I might have forgotten about an order I had made; but she was very nice about it. I admit, there was a small part of me that thought "Hmmm...I COULD keep them, just in case..." Thank goodness, that thought was fleeting. It really did feel good to write 'REFUSED" on that package and hand it back to her.
I have checked one credit card and will be checking on the others. Thanks again for your reply.
Hi, and first off - HUGE congrats on your 253 days clean, that is awesome! OK, the SAME thing happened to me; only the pills just came in the regular mail, and they were my old doc - Tramadol! It happened about 2 months ago and completely threw my 'world' into a tailspin. I had been moving along very well in my recovery and that incident completely freaked me out. I HAD ordered from online pharmacies in the past, but it had been over 6 months and I had closed all of those accounts and I (thought) cancelled any card(s) I used to purchase them. Well, out of the blue, they sent me a bottle of 180 Tramadol and charged $130 to the card I thought was closed. I was extremely shaken up for many reasons - there was a bottle of my doc, right in my hands, plus the fact that my card was charged!!! I had to close that card, along with another one in my name (to be safe). Thank God my daughter was home that day and got the mail. I spent a day trying to get through to an English speaking person that could explain why/how this happened. Long story short - they were sent from somewhere in China and I found out this had happened to many other people as well. It was strange because in the past (when I was actively ordering), they would come to the door like they did for you and required a signature. Well, I had no option to refuse these, they were just in the mailbox. I cant tell you what having those pills in my house did to my 'world'. I would like to think I would have been strong enough to not take any, but again, cant say enough how much it affected me. No harm done in the long run. My husband and I flushed them; I reported it to the fraud dept. of my credit card and got the charge removed. The whole online pharmacy thing is being majorly hit by the FDA and state govts (thank Goodness); and they are scraping for anything. You did the absolute RIGHT thing by refusing them. If I were you, just to be sure, I would check any/all credit accounts you have just to be sure nothing was charged anywhere (probably not if you never used the mail orders, but cant hurt just to be safe). Thank you so much for posting this. Wow, cant believe how desperate these companies have become (if that is what this was) And again, congrats on your major clean time :))
