amino acid

I am tapering off pain pills and was wondering if anyone could tell me if Amino acid helps? I have L-lysine HCI 500mg with essensial amino acid in it. B6 liquid, vitiman c, B-50... Anything else anyone can recommend ? Or am I taking the right Amino Acid ?
Thank you much

Hi I have been off the vicoden for about 3 weeks.  Still unbelievably going through withdraws.  I have still have bad mood swings.  I am on Clanosopran (for anxiety) paxil, and clonidine (for the shaking),  Unfortunately the clonidine is to lower blood pressure but helps with the body shakes and it makes you tired, week and feel completely useless.  I have stopped the clonidine.  I feel a little better but still tired and week.  My daily chores are hard to do.  I used to be able to multi-task all the time.  Does anyone else have the shakes, where they can't stop shaking their legs?  It's emabarrassing.  Sometimes I still want the magic pill so all this will go away evenn though I know I really don't want it.  I think I might take some of the vitamins suggested above.  If anyone has any helpful advice or encouragement that would be wonderful!  It's been really hard. I was on it for about 2yrs.
Thanks

Hi Stacy, I just found out yesterday that Neurontin really helps with the withdrawal symptoms.  I have been on Percocet for 10 years so I know what you are going through.  I tried the Neurontin for the first time today and I couldn't believe it.  No withdrawal symptoms whatsoever and I should have been in major withdrawal by 3:00 pm and I still was fine.  And the best part of all was I wasn't craving a Percocet like I normally do.  I just was shocked.  Since it is a nerve pill, I was afraid I would be sleepy or dizzy but I didn't have those symptoms either.  I just felt normal.  And I have heard that it is non addictive (I just happened to have a bottle of them from a nerve headache 6 months ago, that was lucky that I still had the pills).  I feel like this may be my ticket to go cold turkey without symptoms or at least not bad symptoms.  We will see what tomorrow brings, but for now no diarreah yet either.  If you can get those from your doctor (they are not a narcotic because my doctor gave me 5 refills) or somewhere else, you can still go on with your life feeling normal while withdrawing.  Look through this forum and you will see that others have had success with them too.  I posted a question on here that might be helpful.  It is "has anyone tried Neurontin for opiate withdrawal."  If you do take them, let me know if it worked for you too.

lysine is a useful AA but not so much indicated for detox...there are several that are recommended...tyrosine, phenylalanine, theanine, 5htp, SAMe or methionone...more i think  LOL...they are the building blox of our receptors and neurotransmitters that we need for our brains to heal after abuse...helps with energy, depression and anxiety

If you look over to the bottom right there is an Amino protocol. It does help you trust me. I am 36 hours now into CT and I take the Aminos and they do work. Good Luck
