Wow, I commend you for trying to get off these devils while having a little one at home.  It is going to be the hardest thing you'll ever have to do.  But, sounds like you have the will to do it.  Read the health pages-the info is very helpful.  The vitamins and minerals help ALOT!  As cathy said the first week is the worst, and it is the longest week of your life.  Just get through it day by day......hour by hour if you have to.  You can do it.

Don't have anything to do with the dealers.  They will be your demise.  You will have to stop associating with those kinds of people.  And anyone else who knows you use, It is a total life change.

Children can be irritating at times.  Especially when you are dealing with everything you are.  Is there someone who can watch your son for you?  Even if it's for a few hours a day?  Pull all your resources together and fight this with everything you can.  once you don't need the pills anymore, you'll be surprised how little your son bothers you.  He deserves a mom, and sounds like you really want to be there for him.  Just hang in there, fight for sobriety and when its done, continue to work on staying sober.  Life really is worth living, and it can be much more fun without drugs.

Welcome to the forum Summer! Cathy pretty much said everything I would have. You can do this.... it's hard but doable. I understand with having a little one. I have a 1 1/2 yr old little boy. There is a total difference when you get clean....

The health pages are great so check those out.

Also, you do need to cut off your suppliers and if your friends are wanting you to get stuff for them you need to be firm and tell them you are getting clean and you don't want anything to do with that stuff. If they can't respect that.... they aren't true friends. I know that's easier said than done....but it is necessary to get your life back!

Good luck...keep posting and PM me if you want to chat!

hi summer, welcome to the forum.  if you look in the health pages to the right you will find the thomas recipe and the amino protocols.  read over them they have great tips for detox.  normally the worst of the physical w/ds last about 7 days.  keep in mind it varys for everyone.  the mental is longer and much harder.  keep yourself as busy as possible.  i would strongly recommend you cut all ties to suppliers.  i know if i had not done that i would have gone back to using.  as long as your brain knows you can reup yoursupply it will drive you crazy.  also exercise as much as possible.  it helps the brain to start making endorphins on its own again.  these endorphins have been supplied by the pills for a long time.  it takes awhile to get back to normal.  i have a journal entry on time, read it if you get a chance it mite help.  good luck and if i can help ya let me know.
