Charlie, I feel for you my man. That's rough.  I think Lulu had some real helpful advise. I think she knows what she's talking about. There are alternatives to Narcotics for severe pain. I just want to say how much I admire your strength.. Keep posting and hang in there.

Charlie...
Wow.  You've been through an awful lot and I commend you for 12 days.  I know how difficult it is...
I was on opiates for many years for chronic illness and pain.  It took a long time and a lot of trial and error to manage my pain in a holistic way.  Yoga and meditation, along with a strict diet and vitamin regime, infrared saunas, massage therapy and lots of heat are how I deal.  My pain levels diminish every day that I am off the drugs.  At first I experienced intense rebound pain...This is normal as the brain adjusts.  Biofeedback therapy is supposed to be extremely effective and I'm on a wait list.  Good medical support helps..A doctor who will listen and offer alternatives as opposed to just pulling out the script.  It can take time and patience to find one who is a good fit.

Know that you deserve to have the best quality of life possible.  Also know that you are supported here.  If you want to message me personally, I would be happy to share my experience further.

Sending you wishes for relief and support...
