Did you ask for a referral to a GI specialist? GAWD SOME DOCTORS MAKE ME SO ANGRY!!!!!
I am hanging in. My prep and scope was super traumatic on my bod so I've been laying low all weekend.
Honey I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to get a referral to a GI doctor. You need a colonoscopy or endoscopy or maybe both.
The thyroid is a possibility but your symptoms sound WAY more like a GI problem than a thyroid problem.
Nausea, bloating, reduced appetite, diarrehea, pain in abdomen, weight loss, fatigue right?
Stupid stupid doctors.
Don't worry about taking the Gravol if it helps your nausea. The amount you are taking is NOT going to hurt you. Being nauseous is the worst. Do what you have to to control it.
Try sticking to a super bland diet for awhile. Lots of broths, steamed veg (well steamed) lean proteins. NO dairy, fried food, spicy food, minimal caffeine and no alcohol. Avoid nuts and seeds. See if this helps. When you see the doc again DO NOT leave his office without a referral.
In the meantime-
get a probiotic and take it every morning before you eat.
Get some Vitamin B12 (the injectable kind is the best if you can get someone to do it for you)
Try not to worry..Stress makes this so much worse.
If you need anything just PM me okay? I'm going into a busy week so I won't be on here much but I will check my messages.

The appointment was useless I got no answers at all I told him about ALL my symptoms and all he wants to do is check my thyroid. Right now I feel ok just REALLY tired. I also tried to tell him about the gravel and he told me not to take it everyday.
How are you feeling?
Hey girl checking on you-
How did the appointment go? Any answers? How are you feeling?
My scope was awful and had no answers. Hope you had better luck.
Check in with me I'm thinking about you....

I'm feeling a little better but kinda dizzy. I'm nervous about my appointment. I'll message you :)
Hey honey how are you feeling today? I'm happy you're seeing the doc tomorrow. Remember DO NOT LEAVE the office without some answers, and a referral to a GI specialist. I myself am going into the hospital tomorrow for a scope to see why I am bleeding from my bowel. Check in with me and let me know how you are, okay? Thinking about you and wishing you strength.

My stomach hurts right now. i have an appointment on friday so i will tell him everything and hopefully i get some answers. thanks for replying to my post :)
Woah. Ok girl, these symptoms and results STRONGLY suggest Crohn's. Make sure your doc has all the test results and request another blood panel. Ask for a referral to a GI specialist. They are the only ones that can diagnose you. You need a colonoscopy. You have to be VERY assertive in getting proper medical care. By the time they caught my Crohn's I had been hospitilized several times with extreme pain and nausea. I hadn't been able to hold a meal in for over a year. They even took out my appendix. I FINALLY got to see a GI after I was on a business trip with my boyfriend at the time and he worked in medical sales. I got extremely ill and his surgeon client called in a favour and got me in for a colonoscopy the next day. I was lucky, I didn't lose any of my colon but went through years of steroid therapy and other medical intervention before I finally figured out how to manage it on my own naturally.
I don't mean to scare you- but this sounds like a very real possibility to me.
Please be strong and assertive and do not stop till you have answers.
If you want more info, feel free to PM me.

I have those except vomiting. I don't think I have trouble losing or gaining weight.. Maybe a little trouble gaining weight I eat a lot and don't gain much weight. I haven't had any of those done.
In April I ended up in the hospital because of really bad stomach pain they did some tests and the doctor said something about white blood cells I think he said it was too high not sure i can't remember . They were supposed to call me but never did
The gravol does cause drowsiness- which is why so many people use it when they can't sleep. I am gonna get personal here and ask if you have any other GI symptoms? Gas, bloating, diarrehea, vomiting, pain in abdomen? Do you have trouble gaining weight or losing weight? Have you ever had an endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, or colonoscopy?
Just asking because as I mentioned I have Crohn's and your symptoms are congruent with some of those that have Crohn's. It is incredibly difficult to diagnose. You need to have your white/red blood cells checked and your RA factor and still, it may not show. A scope is the only way to see what's going on.
Listen doll, I'm no doctor, but I can almost 100% promise that your symptoms are not caused by Gravol withdrawal, but by an underlying medical condition that the Gravol helps.
Try the Ginger. They may work.
Keep me posted...

Had my thyroid checked and other things also everything is fine. I'm just frustrated I want to know what's causing all these symptoms and doctors can't find anything. I took half a gravol earlier but I still felt nauseous after but I was drowsy and tired. Sometimes I think it's the gravol causing this and other times I think it's something else. Haven't tried the ginger ones yet.
Hi honey, you're back!
I think I mentioned before that Gravol taken at this low of a dose is not going to make you feel withdrawal. I've taken gravol for years off and on for nausea associated with my Crohn's and other illnesses. I've stopped when I don't have nausea and have had NO withdrawal effects. And I've taken MUCH higher doses than you.
I really believe that it is an underlying medical condition causing these symptoms. Of course you should tell your doc about the Gravol. Many people use it daily both to aid in sleep and for nausea. Make sure they do a full blood panel and test your thyroid okay?
Like I said, right now I take Gravol (2 every 4-6 hours) for the nausea I'm experiencing from pain. When I have a Crohn's flare I have taken up to 8 a day and stopped without any issues.
I just want you to make sure you tell the doc ALL your symptoms and I hope you get some answers and relief soon.
Nausea suc*&s big time. Did you try the natural ginger ones I suggested?
