The forum is a huge help.  If you get cravings come on the forum and read about others who stuck it out and didn't relapse.  I hope you feel better in 3 days too.  Keeping a good attitude is important.  Make sure you stay hydrated.

I'm on day 3... Each day is better then the last. I too tapered, and I was having wd from even tapering. I spent all of day one and day 2 on here, and only half the time today, as I am doing other things! Hang in there, it gets better :)

Usually 3 - 5 days.  Everyone is different.  Some people feel better sooner.  Usually sleep and energy are the last to return to normal.  I can ssure you, all of your symptoms are absolutely normal.  Just read some of the posts on this forum.  Hope you feel better.  Hang in there.  You are doing the right thing.

You could call the dr office and ask them to prescribe Clonidine for you.  It is a blood pressure med that helps with opiate WD.  Look up the Thomas Recipe under Most Viewed Health Pages bottom right hand corner of this page.  You can ask dr for the benzos if you want and buy the rest at the pharmacy/health food store.  What you are experiencing is normal.  We have all been thru it.  It should last 3 - 5 days.  Getting the items I suggested will help.  Good luck.  There is a lot of support on this forum if you keep posting to let us know how you are doing.

Whether you were addicted or not you will get withdrawals.

Glad you came here, it is a great place for support and help.  Keep posting.  You will feel better in a few days.

Definitely call your doctor and see him tomorrow if you need.  He can give you some non addictive meds to help.

I kept telling myself...YOU HAVE the FLU!  It will be over and I will feel so much better.  My brain seemed to get that and settled down a little.  It is hard, but doable!  The Thomas Recipe (bottom of the page under Health Pages as Gnarly said will help.  I did not to the tranquilizers and had to cut back on the Ltryosine, but the rest really helped.  Imodium, Imodium, Imodium (liquid or pills if the liquid can't be found or you can't swallow it) will help.  I took double the dosage for a few days (personal choice) and it helped so much..even with the withdrawals in general and the opiate trots which sucked.

Hydrate and eat!  Even if it is just a little every hour or so.  You have to eat something to keep your energy up as much as possible.

If you have Restless legs..it is hit or miss what works.  Walking seemed to help me some.  Hot bath with epsom salts..a little.  I finally had to get my doctor to refill my restless legs meds (non addictive) to get some sleep.  If nothing works, your doctor might help.

One hour at a time is all anyone can ask.  After 2 weeks it gets a little better and I started to say, One day at a time!  Your brain will do all sorts of things to get you to take a pill.  I found if I was hungry..the cravings got worse.  I would try to eat a banana, a few grapes or a few crackers to get that under control.

Good for you.  I hope all goes well.  You have made a good start coming here....this site has helped me so much!!!  Keep posting!!!!!

I wrote this for the addicted, but dependency will also give you withdrawals.
