Why does it seem almost impossible to have an orgasm on methadone??
listen to gnarly as he knows what he is talking about sara
HI ...man o man I feel your pain....I was on methadone for 6 1/2yrs and let me tell you first off its not you thats the problem ...its the methadone...ive been haply married for 27yr been with the same women for 30yrs let me tell you there is no biger blow to a mans ego then having your sex drive fade away ..I dident even know it was the methadone for years
by the time someone told me it was to late I had lost all my drive to make love to my wife
we got to the point that we where commuted to each other for sickness or health and just delt with a sexless marriage wile I was on the methadone...we where lucky to make love every 3mo wile I was on it...on the bright side once you get back on your feet and get off it everything returns back to normal both my wife and I are in our mid 40s and daddy's got his grove back on..LOL its good to be intimate again with my wife you dont realize how much you have missed it till your back at it again...I would encourage both of you to get yourself a good foundation and start to taper off
methadone was made to be used as a temporary fix not a life long solution it has worked well for both of you and it sounds like your doing well now it time to ween off the methadone and take back the rest of your life drug free...good luck and God bless
if you need help with a taper plan p/m me and I will help you get off it.....Gnarly
This is a very common problem that most of us experience. Try to not take it personal as it really doesnt have anything to do with you. It is the drug. Sex was the last thing on my mind when i was using. I understand your frustration and wish i had better news to give you. Is your husband planning on coming off methadone anytime soon?
