When you guys talk about RLS, what exactly is it you feel? Is it just a jumpy thing like a twitch?

In my w/d's my legs, arms and back get this thing where it feels like the my bones are literly "twisting" inside. Its almost violent and I have to either shake my legs or arms or adjust my back. I dont mean just move them (my limbs and back), I have to flail excessivly to get a temporary relief.

I understand what you said about "walking the halls of yoour house at night" , I too have to do this for my legs, I cant just lay there.

I have heard other people mention "cramping". Mine are kinda like that, but not, if that makes sense.

I do take Lyrica for my feet anyways. I have neuropothy in them that feels like spasims anyways. Like Im being poked with a needle. The Lyrica does help a little with the w/d I experince.

Its funny the w/d are kinda different for everyone. If it wasnt for the "twisting" I feel during w/d's, it would almost be a piece of cake.

I have no idea but it did help me with the rls.My mother has had rls for some time now and she told me about it.Then I read about it at peoplespharmacy.com and people said it worked so I tryed it.That along with the other things I did would help me get some rest at night.I hope it works for you.

I can tell you this if I ever went cold turkey again the first thing I would do is go and buy like 4 boxes of those icey hot sleeves, epson salt and muscle cream.I still keep the bar of soap in my bed (change it once a month) and will continue. My mother has rls (not from w/d) and I know it has helped her.I know it sounds weird but if you go to the people's pharmacy you can read about it.I hope it helps.

I can tell you that I truly think time is the only thing that takes it away,I do know for a fact that the icey-Hot sleeves when put on your legs and arms at night does help enough to rest.I bought 4 boxes the last time I went cold turkey off of 140 mg of vicodin and it helped enough so that I could sleep a few hours. The only thing that takes it away is time.I think I had rls in my arms and legs for the first week when that went away I had ADHD head for a week then my w/d's were over.I also took hot epson salt baths and had my hubby rub my arms and legs with muscle cream then put a sleeve on each arm and leg and I also put a new unwrapped bar of soap (I know this sounds odd)under my bottom sheet in my bed(where my feet were) and that I think helped too.I read that on a site called people's pharmacy, people who suffer from rls put the soap in their bed and it helped them.So I gave it a try and I do think it helped some. When I went cold turkey I was a mess and would have done anything to get rid of the symptoms.I hope you find releif soon .
