Supplements are available but my concern is what meds are you on now alot of the amino acids have interactions with other drugs . What are you taking now ? How much exercise are you getting daily that can make a huge difference as well.I know you are really struggling right now but going back on the meth is not the answer .Hang in there.
Thanks, I am only on thyroid meds and lorazepam for anxiety. I have a prescription for provigil but I don't find it helps much and the side effects are terrible to me. I am too exhausted to do much exercise much less than to get out of bed most days. I just thought some one would have some suggestions for energy supplements.
There are some but I believe there are interactions between them and thyriod meds .What exactly are you on I will throw it in my interaction program
if ur thyroid is slow..hypothyroidism..that in itself will make u tired..synthyroid is what most take for this and i dont think any of the amino acids would hurt..tyrosine is great for energy..i use the powdered form with my EmergenC each morning..also hitting the gym or some type of workout helps me fight anxiety and depression, and fatigue as well...throw in some phenylalanine..powdered as well..from bulk nutrition...has ur doctors drawn ur levels as of late to be sure the thyroid replacement is working? or that the dose is high enuf? I have 2 siblings with thyroid disorders..it is very hard to get the dose of the replacement correct..an endocrinologist usually knows more about this than another doctor..keep posting...often in severe cases of depression, alternative drugs are used..my neighbor takes provigil for depression...a stimulant can help people get out of bed and move,,AD's like wellbutrin are often used for this as well..another friend is actually prescribed ritilin for depression...this would be a risky drug being an addict..as a rule provigil is not habit forming and sold otc in every country except here in the USA...used to stay awake like no-doze is here...not an amphetamine.....please be sure u have covered the specialists in ur area...u can pm me if u would like as i have alot of info on this subject..keep posting
Hi. Sorry you are srugglig so bad. Please don't go back, you know what that is like. To tired to exercise, go outside once a day for 15 mins, breath in and out the air around you. Look at the trees the moutains the ocean the birds the squirlls what ever nature provides for you and appreciate life.Try to journal you thoughts and feelings and finish each journal entry with 3 things you are most grateful for.
Please be completly honest with avisg with everything you are putting into your body, meds, alcohol, over-counter,anything you can think of ,no mater how minor it may seem,,,,this will surely help her.
Don't cave...you can get through this...keep posting
Thank you all for your replies. It is nice to have some back up when you need it. I'll hang here. It just seems like after three years there would be some relief. Could be hormonal other than thyroid. Since I am 55 and did meth for a decade, I just might never be the same, anyway. I am still hoping to feel better though. Thanks again.
