im not 100% sure if im addicted to opiates or not but if i dont abuse really high doses of painkillers i cant sleep at night and it takes me around 2 1/2 days to be able to fall asleep on my own without the pain killers lately ive been taking between 3900-4300 miligrams of ACAP a night in total tonight i must have taken around 12-14 pills so i could fall asleep. im sweating alot more then usualy.
tonight i kind of took 1-3 pills and forgot how much i took so i just guessed and took 11 more pills. ive been doing things like this for 8 months. just abusing what ever will get me high and wasting all my money on weed and opiates. i dont know if this is addiction or not because i cant resist doing drugs when there availible to me. its something i only do at night so i dont get caught and then sleep through the whole day. i think im really depressed to because all i think about is getting high and self harm. i dont think im suicidal i just hate myself.
i really cant afford help if i really needed it. no insurance.

to my knowledge only certian fruit drinks speed up absorbing of the pills petroglyph i wouldnt worry about coffee...

Vicki is probably right, but on the other hand, I don't want to be high. And, I always have been mixing up my methadone with grape juice just to get it down. This turned out to be valuable to me, if it's correct? Would you know if the acids in coffee does the same thing? I am a big coffee drinker and have wondered for a while now if it was quality control down at the factory or whatever is in my stomach? If you'd like to share any other infor like that or help me? I'd like to know how my food is affecting my narcotics as my desire is to quit and to also be pain free? To answer your question of if your an addict. If your constantly thinking about your next high yes you are. Just because you say you don't have withdrawals doesn't make you not addicted. Take it from somebody that knows what an addict is. Everything you described points straight to addiction. There is nothing to be ashamed of. You did a good thing by coming here and asking for help. The tylenol is eating you liver alive. I've known people that take over 30 hydros a day and they were fine after treatment and rehab. You really need to seek treatment before it causes greater damage.

The slower opiates metabolize the more that is used by the body. Grapefruit juice will make opiates feel 2 times stronger and last 2 times as long in some people. The same thing with some antacids especially Tagament.

Hey man, If I was in your shoes (I was in a lot worse over a year ago), I would consider myself an addict. Not sleeping at night was one of my biggest triggers to use as well.
To your initial question of "will this kill me?"... The answer is yes. It very well may kill you. As I'm sure you did, we all turn into DRs and Scientists when we're high, going online and looking up what we are doing to ourselves. Hepatoxicity (toxic liver) can begin as low as 4000mg/day. Just because you don't get sick today doesn't mean you wont tomorrow. Actually, it means you have a better chance of getting sick tomorrow. Sustained high levels of APAP is very damaging. After a while at high sustained levels you are at risk of hepatic failure. This is when you dont wake up.
Get some help before its too late. AA and NA are free, will teach you how to get off the drugs (if you are truly ready) and will show you how to live clean. Getting a sponsor is as easy as going to a meeting, finding someone who you think has a good handle on sobriety and has something you would like to have, and asking them to be your sponsor. They will do the rest. Good luck!

grape juice makes it get dissovled quicker in your stomcach cuz of the acids or whate ever. which makes it hit you harder initially i dont know what a sponsor is or how to get one.

If you have no money and no insurance, there may be other ways to get help. Maybe your doctor would know some state-aided programs you could get into. Or you can do it on your own. Get the things you need for the Thomas Recipe and the Amino Acid Protocol and that will help with the withdrawals.
Do you have any family or friends that can help you? Surely, at the level you're abusing drugs, someone must have expressed deep concern for what you're doing. It's not called rading it's stealing,what your doing is awful if you haven't destroyed your relationshipis with your parents and friend's then get ready because they may need there meds and now they don't have them that is whatan addict does is stuff like what you are doing!Sounds to me that if you don't get help now you could be dead very soon that is just my guess,there are alot of resorces out there you need to find someone that can help you a doc visit is not that much and maybe you just need a simple sleeping or could be other issues but you need to find a way.Iagree with sarah you may just have to go to the e.r. before they are rollin you out on a strecher with a sheet over you. im not trying to be meen but you need to relize what your doing to yourself.

i have a friend who chewed up hydros/percocets like you, like 10 at a time. He chewed up about 3000mg of tylonal (APAP) a day and one day his skin turned yellow and he ended up in the ER, near dead from liver damage. There was also a kid at my college who drank so much last year his skin and eyes turned yellow and he actually died from jaundice. Get help, APAP can be MORE DANGEREOUS THAN OPIATES THEMSELVES!
Their speaking of APAP, acetometaphin, tylonal. Your taking way too much and are killing your liver. Please get help
when i woke up today i was fine just real bad pain in stomach area for first half of day. i do know that the liver heals itself much faster then other organs so because of that i have no friggin clue how bad my health is because ive been doing this 5-7 days a week for several months. i am afraid though that because i always end up waking up the next day when i feel like i took too much pills that one soon itll happen again and ill think "oh ill be fine i always am" and die.. i know im also fairly stupid with the amounts i take of things i mean i had to be hospitalized for an OD when i started high school from taking 3 times the amount of meth pills i should have swallowed. i feel like a retard i was always chasing the biggest high i could get but now im not getting high for fun and i dont have money to either im just trying to get sleep now. life *****.

every night i try and get as high as i possibly can with all ways i can. depend on the type of opiate im taking its usually a 2 or 3 hour high from about 60-100 MG of opiate which is what it takes for me to knock out. as im currently waiting for about 70 mg of opiate to kick in as im typing right now so i can go to sleep.
to those who said go to doctor and stuff like that well i dont have ANY money or insurance which forces me to use these pills or weed or what ever gets me high enough to go to sleep because i dont have to pay for these pills i just raid my parents and friends cabnits so i can get my free high and finally get some sleep...

Sounds like you need some help ... if you can talk to someone in your family about it, that would be good, but please see a dr. who can surely help you.

Hey~ Itching is a sign of liver disease as well as withdrawal. If you haven't gone to the ER yet,you really need to go and get detoxed.

I've never heard of it before. There are a lot of things I come across on this site that I never heard of. (Another reason I like this forum. I feel like I learn something new every day. And having 4 kids, I want to be knowledgeable about drugs and addictions, especially since they have a family history of it and are at risk.

I'm not sure what ACAP is? But regardless, you are taking way too many pills. I agree with Dominosarah, there comes a time when you just don't wake up. And I also think you know the real answer as to whether you're addicted.
Also, your thoughts of self-harm are really worrisome. Please try to get yourself some help with this. Is there anyone, family, friends, physician that you can talk to. It sounds like you need a lot of support. This is a great site and you will definitely get support here but if you had someone to help you in real life, it would be a good idea to share this with them.

ive felt like this a few times before and never died though and when i dont have pills i dont go into super physical withdrawls like the addicts i see im sooo confused right now...
