ANIEXTY OR BLOOD CLOT

So, about 2 weeks ago I was moving some minor to heavy items.....  Never felt like I hurt myself.  The next day my left leg was feeling pulled.... Left it at that.....  It comes and goes...but my leg hurts when I stand for long periods.  Now I have convinced myself I must have a blood clot...and my ANXIETY is THROUGH THE ROOF!  I have feelings like I am going to faint, if I feel a twinge in my leg....  I have tingles in my upper back and shoulders and head burns......  I have a history of Anxiety....but it was under control.......   I called the docs and they said that it sounds like I just pulled something in my leg... to ice and no lifting......    BUT ITS NOT HELPING MY THOUGHTS!   I feel like this is over powering my life...and I need to talk to anyone who can relate! ?  Every twitch, burn sensation, tingle, ache....fainting spells.... ( no fainting..just feel warm hot flash....)   Is this anxiety?

I work in a physical therapy clinic and it's very common to hurt your leg due to over use. If it was a blood clot you would be in constant pain beyond what you're experiencing. Give it a couple wks, maybe more and the pain should go away.

hey lolly, to help your anxiety issue, think of it this way: when you're feeling anxious about something, you're more likely to get stuck in a cycle of thinking "what if...?" thoughts and that feeds the anxiety, creating a positive feedback loop. when you catch yourself thinking like this, you must try to stop yourself and realize that it's illogical to think that way. you're just ASSUMING it's a blood clot in your leg because the pain/discomfort makes you anxious, which leads to you thinking the worst. Also, STOP RESEARCHING SYMPTOMS! It doesn't help and it will just feed your anxiety! Finally, you might want to try the 7/11 breathing technique when you become anxious over your leg hurting; take a breath in for 7 seconds, then exhale for 11 seconds. focus on your breathing and make sure you breathe from the stomach.
