Is it possible for emotional stress to cause sudden cardiac death 5 hours later?

My husband had a severe heart attack and 7 days later I snapped at him to get back into bed when he was wandering around at night. The next morning he woke up gasping for air and died of sudden cardiac death. Did I cause this?

No.  Heart attacks are the result of heart disease, and while sudden shocks can trigger them, the heart has to be in a weakened state for it to fail.  As for you snapping at him, that doesn't qualify as a sudden shock -- that's what married couples do because they care about one another.  You had nothing to do with it.  I'm so sorry for your loss.

Oh my gosh, that is tragic.  I'm very sorry for your loss.  No, you did not cause that.  He'd had a heart attack.  I'm surprised he wasn't in a rehab facility 7 days after a major coronary event.  I would not look for other reasons as to why it happened other than his compromised cardiac health that HE had.  Did this happen recently?  hugs
