Basically for the last four months iv been diagnosed with generalized anxiety and went for eeg and ct scans on my brain bc I was having episodes of seizures , they found out my seizures were being caused by one of my meds I was taking for anxiety, mirtazapine was the culprit , but I still have problems with my anxiety they tried many drugs serequel 25 50 75 and 100 mg didn't help at all put on pounds and had a racing heart 24/7 gave me 3.75 mg of tranxene (clorazapate) 3x a day for anxiety those didn't do anything to me didn't help me sleep didn't help my anxiety basically had no effect so they perscribed me 1mg ativan 3x a day the ativan does help a bit but I find I have to take more then 3 to make it work for me all day, but my real question is about my heart, is it just my anxiety causing my heart problems or does anyone else think I may have a problem my heart rate when waking up in the morning is usually around 78-90bpm as soon as I stand up it shoots up to about 100-110 bpm and usually doesn't come back down it'll jump down a little bit but if I'm standing or walking or doing anything other then lying down or sitting down my heart is about 98-110 bpm the moment I lay down it goes back down near 80-90 bpm again, basically my heart has made me a bed zombie bc I'm to scared to get up and have my heart racing, and scared to go out in public bc I always got my hand on my chest trying to count the beats and make sure I ain't gonna have a heart attack basically I became obsessed with my heart, I have an appointment with a neurologist on the 1st of Feb and he's just been making sure I ain't having any more seizures he wants to make sure I don't come up with an sort of seizure disorder, he is also checking me adrenal glands to see if I'm producing to much adrenaline and that could be causing the anxiety and racing heart symptoms he told me a month ago that if the heart racing and palpations don't go away he's going to send me to a cardiologist to have them do a tilt test and run some ecg and holter monitor tests to make sure nothing is wrong with my heart, I just wanna know if my symptoms are normal and if I'm just worrying to much over nothing, right now fighting this I can see my heart beating threw my chest prob about 88-98 bpm ATM,lying down I just need reassurance from someone who might no bc its been such a long wait to see the doctor and I'm worried my hearts gonna stop or explode 95% of the time and if I take about 7 mg of ativan a day it'll calm it down a bit I mean the thoughts of the racing heart stop being so obsessive but I can still feel it racing inside my chest and see my beat threw my stomach and chest I'm 140 pound 5'10 20 year old man and my life has been pure hell from this obsessive heart problem and anxiety problems
