Anxiety attacks while resting

I seem to be alright (even though I am always "on guard ") during the day when I am doing something. It's when I am sitting watching tv, relaxing or sleeping when I get horrible attacks. Does anyone else have this issue?

Thank you everyone. I had to go home early from work today because I had a bad attack there. I feel like there is something really wrong with me. I get really shaky and my legs bounce. I get tingly and I feel like I'm going to pass out. When I start to calm down it spikes right back up. It's getting so hard to deal with!!

For waking up during the night in panic mode my doctor gave me low dose Xanax. I calm down and go back to sleep. You might want to ask your doctor if this would help you.

I have the same! I've been writing in the thyroid forum, something's off and I'm going to my doctor tomorrow morning.

But, I wake up several times at night, sweating and in panic mode. That's also how I'm waking up in the am. Even if I'm still tired, I'll have to get up because it feels as if I'm going crazy. And it gets better if I'm occupied watching a movie or go online and make myself a hot cup of tea.

It's terrible, I hate it and I hope to get some help and relief.

Makes sense. You have no time to dwell on yourself.

I notice when my mind is occupied on a task that I have less issues with anxiety as I am keeping busy.
