Anxiety or Heart issue? Please help anyone.

Hi there.
I am 21 years old. I do not smoke (never have.) do not do drugs (never have) and do not drink. (never have.) I am 5'10" and 135-140 lbs. I am also Caucasian. (Italian and irish.) I am noticing that I have some symptoms of heart attacks, and symptoms of anxiety. The symptoms for the two are very much related it seems like. I am having symptoms like racing heart beat, light headedness, sweaty palms, etc. I never have chest pain or anything like that. (Which makes me think it is just anxiety because if I were having a heart attack or heart issues, I would think my chest would be severely hurting. I never had symptoms like this, until I was about 16 years old which was about the time that I isolated myself from my friends and everything and kind of stopped going out places. Now I am noticing if I go out places, I get these symptoms. It doesn't really ever happen if I am at my house, unless I am thinking about how I am feeling, and thinking about having a heart attack, then the symptoms manifest. I would just like some help and some advice. I have asked my family about this, and they all say that I am having anxiety. I have no heart disease or heart attack history in my family. I do however have anxiety and panic history in my family. So I just want to know what everyone thinks. Heart issue or anxiety issue? Please help me out. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks  (:

It sounds like anxiety.  Pretty typical symptoms.  You really need to see a doctor to rule out any physical reasons for what you are feeling.  This will help the anxiety, too.  Knowing that it is not a heart problem leaves you with less health related anxiety, but if it continues after you get a clean bill of health then it's time to work on the anxity.  Thee is a lot of help available.  Therapy, meds and many natural remedies.  Don't give in to this illness.  You can definitely fight back.  The sooner the better.
