As everyone's body is different, if I find that my anxiety is causing nausea or GI issues I will be selective of what I choose to eat during those times. Usually it is unprocessed natural food such as fruits and vegs, soups, and light sandwiches. I try to avoid fast foods and sometimes dairy products as my body does not react well to them during times of anxiety.

Stress and anxiety certainly can cause GI symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, and even vomiting.  You say this has been going on for 5 years, can you elaborate a bit as to what is exactly happening?  How often you're vomiting?  When it happens?  Have you seen your doc to rule out a medical cause?  Have you ever sought professional help for your anxiety?

I dont know what your situation is or how you vomit. However, when I'm stressed or anxious I make myself vomit and it does tend to make me feel better. Its a coping thing. Although I also struggle with bulimia.
