Anxiety does cause a lot of strange symptoms. The list is so long! You really might want to think about trying another med. I've been on meds, went off them, and then back on them only to have them not work the same or have different side effects. I know I already mentioned this but, I wanted to throw it out there again for you to consider.
yes she specializes in lots of things and cbts are supposed to be one of the best things,i have no idea about the neuro thing.im hoping its nothing serious and that it is just the meds/my anxiety
Yes, I know you're seeing a counselor but, I was asking if you are seeing one that specializes in health anxiety.
Sometimes we can take a med, go off it, start it again and not get the same results. Maybe it's time to try a different med.
Do you have to be referred by your GP to see a Neuro Dr for insurance purposes?
yes i am seeing a cbt counselor,i am on 20 mg citalopram, ive been on them before and did get better, but this time seems alot harder.
how can i see a neurologist when the doctor doesnt feel its necessary to refer me to anyone? he says my responses and other things are fine,i have been about 3 times about it and seen 3 different doctors
thanks for your responses
I know this is scary for you, but keep in mind that being proactive with our health allows us to prevent something from becoming serious. Ignoring this is the worst thing you can do because if something is wrong, eventually you will be forced to deal with it and maybe have fewer options......you want to stay one step ahead of everythig where your health is concerned. This may all be anxiety, but I would see a Neurologist for peace of mind. I hope this helps and take care.
Are you seeing a counselor that specializes in health anxiety? Can I ask what meds you're taking? You may need try different ones or have a dose increase.
