Can medication suddenly make you feel worse?

I have been taking Prozac for over a year for generalized anxiety disorder. I started on 20mg which was increased to 60 then down to 20mg which I have been taking for the past few months with no problems, until a few weeks ago. I am constantly suffering from adrenaline rushes which happened over the past few days and have had virtually no sleep. This is ruining my life I was wondering if anyone had this effect after taking a medication for a length of time and if there was any solution. Thank you

If you have been taking it for months without any problems, do you think it may be another issue? Are you under a lot of stress right now?  For me, stressors can cause many symptoms to ebb and flow.   Have you talked to your doctor about it?
