Assuming it is adrenaline, holy basil is a good herb for controlling the release of cortisol. Adaptogens such as Eleuthero and Ashwagandha help keep the adrenals functioning properly. However, it isn't necessarily adrenaline, anxiety just feels like it. It is good to keep your adrenals toned, though, if you're an anxiety sufferer.
yeah a doc is best because there can be other things going on...but usually it's just anxiety. even so, anxiety itself is bad enough. you really need to learn relaxation exercises....break the cycle when you feel it start. look up methods online. there's an enormous ammount of information on meditation and relaxation...some ways may work better than others but you'll have to figure that out for yourself. but yeah, you should go get checked out by the doc. maybe they'll want to put you on something for the anxiety...or recommend a psychiatrist.
I totally understand those adrenaline rushes. It does make you really tired after it happens. It sounds like they might be panic attacks.
What other symptoms are you having?
I wish I could tell you what would help but only your Dr can do that.
Can you make an appointment to see him/her soon and explain what's going on?
Take care. Remar
