Change in the weather

I noticed that as it has just become colder that my anxiety peaked its ugly head out. Started over the weekend, all be it less than some of my previous experiences. Symptoms of my anxiety remain the same with overall shakiness, cloudy mind, nausea and acid reflux and a GI tract that doesn't take kindly to an axious body. Sleeping well oddly enough. Anxiety for me is worse in the morning, at times dissipates in the afternoon, with little to none at night. I've brought this up in the past but would again like to see how many others have an increase in anxiety as we go through different parts of the year, particularly the weather changes.

My anxiety spikes greatly during the fall. I have actual freak outs and break downs when I can't calm down or stop crying for a week.

There are two possibilities here:  the change in light has been mentioned, but sometimes people get increased emotional distress upon the anniversary of something that happened that might have caused the whole mess or contributed to it.  You might try to think if something emotionally wrenching happened at this time of year.

I appreciate the response. The change in darkness and light is prob a factor. Do you find temperature changes to effect you as well ?

Heck ya, as the sun goes away, it starts getting gross outside, dark at 430. It defiantly ups my anxiety.

I believe there is an actual term for it. Seasonal anxiety? Seasonal depression? Can't think of it at the top of my head.

Secondary to the nausea the worst for me is the mental fog that anxiety brings from wearing out my mind..
