Escitalopram encouragment

Hi

I'm about to start escitalopram again after losing my job and girlfriend this past June... I was fine for a bit but the past couple of weeks have been pure hell.ive been on and off escitalopram for the past 3 years...ie once I feel better I go off of it..sooooo here I am about to take it again..should I start off taking it in the morning, afternoon or  night?

What works best for everyone else starting off... I have felt relief on just 5 mg before within the first week... Should I start with 2.5? Has anyone had an interaction with escitalopram and nexus 24 hr?

Thanks all!

Thanks for the advice ....yea I might just start with the 5mg..I know even 5mg is pretty low but I would like to work my way up to 10mg and see how I'd do.....I remember not liking 10mg but hey why not!

I used to take Escitalopram with great success.  Unfortunately it pooped out on me.  I took Prilosec for a bit while on it and had no problems, although they are contraindicated.  Nexium is as well.  The combo can put you at increased risk for abnormal heart rhythm although it is rare.  Again, I had no problems but you might want to discuss it with your doc.  Also, I took mine in the am.  If you had no problem with 5 mg before you might as well start there.  Good luck!
