I study psychology. Im in my fourth year of my degree. GAD is simply constant anxiety/worry. Therapy can be a really big help for GAD. It is not necessarily something that needs cured since it really isnt a" disease or sickness"... it is just an inability to calm down.
If you really want my best advice on the disorder I say get therapy. They can teach you ways to manage anxiety and train your mind to avoid general worries from escalating or continuing. Some people are just naturally worriers.. not a big deal.
Btw I am also telling you this because I myself have the "disorder". With therapy I have seen a big improvement in my ability to deal with stress/anxiety.
Sometimes it is not curable, but you can treat the symptoms. GAD can be caused from physical as well as mental problems. Chemical imbalances and certain diseases can cause GAD. It's not always something you can put your finger on. That's why meds are necessary in some cases.
Sure it is, as long as your willing to do what is necessary to change what ever it is in your life that makes you have gad.
