Is it anxiety?!

Hey guys, this is my first post and I'm not the best writer so please forgive me. :)
I have never been a good sleeper. You know hard to get to sleep and always sleepy.
But over a year ago I started getting odd sleep events. Particularly when I'm about to fall asleep or wake up.
If I'm gonna fall asleep my brain will "zap" me awake. And if I'm waking up I can't move. To sum up a lot of crap the sleep doc said I have hypnagogic sleep reactions. I've had 3 sleep study's and I guess I have sleep apnea and some nonspecific symptoms. So on top of that I feel anxiety all the time and I'm vary jumpy.
I get the weirdest fellings in my head. It's like a headache but not. In the end it's worse, it's like a consistent idk knowing in your head like a sliver or something, it's a sensation and a kind of pain you are always aware of.
I told my GP about it and he said its likely anxiety and he put me on celexa. I'm better but not great.
I've been on several sleep ads. Resteral gave me nightmares that would kill some people. But ambion is the best thing ever. It will stop any of the sleep problems I described. It's a central nevours system depressant so it makes senses that it would stop my sleep problems for a night. But I still feel things through the meds. I'm not as bad but I still know I'm not 100% I still get the odd sensations I'm my head and I'm still anxious. I've seen a neurotologist and she thinks its stress as well. The only test I haven't had is a cat scan but i think a tumor would have killed me by now.
My buddies GF has smiler symptoms and it feels good to relate to someone but stress seems to effect everyone differently. So it's had to say yes I have GAD and not something else. Am I the only one here!? Or is srtress causing you some crazy symptoms?

I know the machines can be very hard to get used to. If you can try though you should get much better sleep and will feel better too.

Is the sleep machine helping at all?
We all handle stress differently. Some people thrive on it while it really gets to others.
That's what usually happens to us anxiety sufferers. When the stress gets to be too much we can have a panic attack out of the blue. I still remember the first one I had very well.
Therapy can be expensive but very worth it. You will learn how to deal with your stress and anxiety.
Yes, it is hard to imagine that the body and mind can do this but it sure can.

Hi thanks for you're input. I do have a sleep machine. And my life is kind of stressful, job, family and so on. But not any more than someone else. I have considered therapy but its costly and I don't feel like its a emotional problem.
When I got my first panic attack it was out of the blue when I was going into work. My anxiety does get worse with less sleep. After 2 weeks of not sleeping I when to the doc and like a year later here I am. All the docs think its stress and now I'm sure it is. But it's hard to imagine the brain can do this to its self. I'm starting to realize that anxiety sufferers like me are never satisfied with the answer "it's just stress" ;).

Anxiety comes with a very long list of possible symptoms. Did they recommend a C pac for your sleep apnea? If you're not getting proper sleep then you will be tired during the day and it can cause or make anxiety worse. Do you have an idea why you might be stressed? Your job, school, family life? Have you given therapy a try yet?
