I am feeling hot from 10 days. i feel like hot flashes and i feel like i have fever but when i take temperature it comes less than normal. what is it?

frm last 10 days i feel like hot flashes. i feel like i have fever but when i mark my temperature with the thermometer it shows less than normal. i donot feel fatigue, tired or aches but only a hot feeling. it is more in head, neck and upper part of the body. if any cold thing or object touches my body or cold water falls on the body during this i feel very cold and a shock like feeling like a chill. also my palms remain very cold the whole day.my eyes also feel very numb. it appears 10 to 12 times a day and stays for more than a hour. i am taking sotret tablets for my acne(pimples) treatment, can it be due to this medicine? i mean that my body temperature changes, sometimes it shows 96 and after 2 hours it shows 97.5. it happens more when i sleep and less when i go outside home. this all are my symptoms. what could it be? i want to ask the following questions?

1) can it be malaise or fatigue due to any hiv infection , but i donot have any muscle aches or tiredness or sleepiness?
2)can it be hot flashes due to low testosterone hormone?
3)or what could it be?
4)can it be due to anxiety?
please help me. i am very much worried. please. thanks.

Well I do know that hot flushes is a side effect of the tablet you mention. Sotret. So it could just be that. They can also cause dizzy spells and headaches. It is one of those ones you will only ever find out when you stop taken the medication. Once you are on it the side effects may persist for a while. But you really need to stop looking at yourself inwardly. The more you notice about yourself the more it seems to worry you. You might create a bigger problem. One you never had to begin with. Just ask your GP about the medication. See what he / she says. Or even ask your chemist. If the reaction to it is considered too bad they may want to take you off it.

Because you are on medication I would check with your doctor regarding this.  Something is causing your temp to fluctuate, and your symptoms could be representative of many things.  If everything checks out okay and it's detrmined to be anxiety, then you need to address this with a professional.  Feel free to come back if it is anxiety as we have many who can offer support and advice.  Take care....
