Lost on what to do

Been working for this company for 10 years. Back in April, got injured and took a 1 month leave of absence. Upon my return, they have stripped me of the hours that I had had for 6+ years and have givin me insane, inconsistant hours which I have not seen any one have. I have spoken to my manager 4 times
with him telling me that retail does not have set hours. I proceeded to talk to his manager who said he would look into it but never did. When I approached the my managers mangager for the last time, he said he had no control of scheduling which in fact is a lie. I accidentally heard him telling a scheduler to manipulate another associates schedule. It is definitely seen taht thewy are trying to do anything in the power to get me fired or have me quit. My wife has been laid off and I have 2 children. Trying to find another job has been proven difficult and extremely stessful. What can I do???

Do you have a letter from your doctor stating that you needed to be off work due to this injury?

This is a tough call.  Do you have any type of handbook that has the company policies in it?  I'm the type that just goes straight to the top, but in these economic times it's risky, as there is a line of people waiting for your job.  We own our own business and suppliers are not even honoring our contracts, everything is in their favor because an attorney cost a lot of money to fight this.  You could talk to labor relations (ACLU) and see if they can help you, otherwise I'd look for another job which as you know isn't easy to do right now.  You need to get above middle management to someone who is capable and able to make decisions.  I'm sure you have an HR dept. there, try talking to them about this.  Stay calm and professional when doing this.  I wish I could be of more help, they should appreciate someone who values their job so much!
