Is this Anxiety?

I don't feel like I am under a ton of stress or anything, but I have had issues at work recently with my boss, that leave me wanting to explode. A few days ago I started shaking, and thought it was so serious, I went to a doctor, which I rarely do. They did a urine test, a blood test, and a second blood test. The doctor did a simple neuro exam, and decided it was most likely anxiety. She prescribed lorazapram, which seemed to help for short periods of time, but when I went back to discuss the labs, she put me on buspirone and citalopram. I have been taking them for the last three days, and they seem to have no effect. I feel shaky and like my fingers are uncoordinated. You know that feeling when your body goes into fight or flight mode, and it chooses fight, and you get all nervous and shaky... thats how I seem to feel all day. I also am worried because I am a slight hypochondriac, and I feel like this could be something more. Every accidental stutter, slight loss of balance, or minor issue, could be a brain tumor or something else thats causing the shaking.
Am I crazy? Is the shaking common with anxiety?
thanks everyone...

I agree with Jenn375 that you could be having a reaction to your meds. When my anxiety is full blown I can get shakey from the inside out. The shakes subside when the attack passes. The flight or flight mode for me comes and goes and does not last all day. Call your Dr. so you can get some help. Take care and make the call. If you are not satisfied get another opinion.

Blessings,
Marie

More likely its the medication, it sounds like your having a bad reaction. You need to tell this to your doctor just as clearly I as you've explained it here.

If your doctor attempts to prompt you to up the dose ,, I can only suggest that you find anouther doctor who will hear you when you say you want off them.  SSRI's in some peoples brains act very similiarly to LSD and in those select few it does not get better it only gets worse, if its allowed to go on for too long its called psychosis on the warning label. Please seek help to be sure this isnt the case....

*May your angels watch over you as you heal*
