Just got bit/stung by something. Anxiety high.

I was reaching to put something in the grass when I was coming back from break at work and I had my keys in my right hand and it felt as if my keyring pinched me right on the inside of my middle finger right above where my finger attaches to my hand. I dropped my keys and it got tons worse. If a yellowjacket or wasp sting is a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 in pain, this was more like an 8. My coworkers are saying it could have been an ant or a bumble bee but my anxiety tells me it was a black widow or something worse.

Thank you for your reply. I just got really overanxious because the pain was so severe and it radiated a chill throughout my body and I never felt anything like that. I never found what bit/stung me. It got better after about 3 hours. All is good now.

Symptoms not systems.

Very unlikely to be a black widow. They are nocturnal. Not to say they aren't "awake" in the day. But they are active at night. Systems of a bite come on quickly within a half hour. And they unlikely to be in grass. They don't like being in the open. When I had shingles I first thought it was a crazy spider bite so I learned all about them.
