I very much agree with what Julie has said above. While anxiety causes a LOT of physical symptoms, swelling wouldn't be one of them. It does sound as though you could be dealing with some sort of allergic reaction.
Start keeping a journal of the events that lead up to the swelling, including what you were doing at the time, what you may have eaten or drank right before. Also, like Julie recommended, start thnking about anything new that you've added to your daily routine...soaps, shampoos, cosmetics, laundry products, new food products, etc.
Then, get yourself to your doc to discuss everything. The other symptoms you're having may be somehow related, or they may be an anxious reaction to the swelling that you're experiencing.
Please do let us know how you're doing and what the doc said! Take Care!
Erm i have never heard of anxiety causing lips to swell up, this sounds very much like an allergic reaction to something, have you been to the doctor regarding it? Have you recently started taking a medication or changed something in ur diet? Changed using a new lipstick?? Or even washing powder.... i would personally have a really good think about all the things you have changed ove the last 3 months and more so aorund the time it started, write them all down and then start to stop using/eating/drinking them and see if it helps.
The doc would most proberly just give you an allergy med to counteract the symptoms, personally i would get rid of the culprate....... good luck.
Hi,not sure about ur sudden upper lip swelling, should consult a doctor for that,
as for both chest tighness and acid reflux i did experinced it a lot, went to a doc for chest xray etc..came out fine and it can be caused by anxiety.Wise to check it out with ur doctor so u can have a ease of mind.
