Anxiety normal for young people?

So I know I have anxiety but recently it's been more intense, and I've been getting symptoms like stomach butterflies, dry throat, clammy hands, excessive sweating, never ending tension for no reason. Also, I haven't slept well in the past two weeks I've been tossing and tuning all night half asleep, it's not even because of something on my mind, I don't know what it is. I'm only 13 years old and I don't really know what to do.

Everyone has anxiety.  The question I think you're asking is, are you suffering an inordinate amount of it.  You're at an age when things can get weird -- it's an age of change in body and mind.  Have you discussed this with your parents or your doctor?

My anxiety started when I was about 10 years old. Everything you listed can be caused by anxiety. Have you done anything to address your anxiety? Talk to your parents/guardian? Seen a doctor?
