Thanks, yeah It just feels like years, since I have felt anywhat somewhat normal. This hashi's is horrible stuff. I have asked for help many of times. Never did I get any. Doctors would just throw me off and say I had allergies. I was so fed up this year I did allergy testing and I have none. I am so tired . I know a lot has to do with the mood swings. I have only taking it a short time. Tomorrow I will start decreasing and then stop. I know i am not addicted by any means. Just has been a rough year. They just send me home and tell me take this pill, and this xanax. Ha. Yeah right. Anyway. I will give the buspar some more time I guess. Thanks. :
I will assume that you are under the care of a doctor for your thyroid problem and that some sort of plan has been set in motion to resolve that issue. If your panic stems simply (?) from the thyroid problem, then you really shouldn't need Xanax..........education and understanding about what is happening to you and how to deal with it, should be adequate to calm you down. And your doctor has been remiss is not taking the time or trouble to do this for you, but instead has opted for the easy way out and has put you on one of the most evil drugs ever made by man. Shame on him since he stood up on graduation day and promised to "first, do no harm!" Tell him you want off the Xanax NOW! Get rid of that ****.........it's doing nothing for your thyroid problem but it will cause you great problems if you don't ditch it soon. Trust me on this one, OK?
See your psych as soon as possible and tell him/her you want off the Xanax. Discuss, IN DEPTH, any antianxiety med they may want to put you on. You can talk about your agitation and mood swings with them. Did you give the BuSpar adequate time to work? Takes a few weeks for that to kick in. You have many quesitons and it sounds like nobody is giving you any answers! Do not settle for that kind of treatment. EVER!
Let us know how you're doing, OK?
Peace
