Painful tingling and muscle spasms: Anxiety?

For all of my life I have experienced muscle twitches. They happened a lot when I was little, and seem to happen when I have caffiene or when I am anxious. They control a lot of my life, and affect falling asleep, what position I sit in, and make me extremely irritable. More recently, like about five years ago, I began to have painful tingling in my arms, but almost never both at the same time. It sometimes was in my legs too, and right now I have the painful tingling in my left lower leg, ankle and foot. Origninally, after eliminating carpal tunnel and some other things, I thought it was from anxiety, which I have mildly. But now I'm not so sure, and I was wondering if anyone could help me because no doctor that I've visited (which is many) seems to know what is wrong with me. I am 18 years old, just finished high school, live in Minnesota, have mild asthma, am very sensetive (like skin, eyes, etc.) and have an allergy to amoxicillin and cats. I don't know if that helps or not, but I'd really appreciate any help I can get.

Well I haven't had alcohol in the past six months and I try not to drink caffiene, but as I work in a coffee shop, it is sometimes difficult. Do you think that it is worth it to make an appointment with a neurologist just to make sure it is nothing more serious? I'm fairly certain I know what is wrong with me, and that it is nothing serious, but you never know.

Anything containing caffiene should be avoided if you are an axiety sufferer, as this will encourage the anxiety to get worse and make the syptoms feel a lot worse than they are.  Aviod caffiene at all cost, and alcohol, if you consume alcohol, as these will both encourage a panic attack.  The tingling sensation is not a unusual effect from axiety, i get that quite often when i am anxious, and sometimes if the axiety is at its worse, my skin starts jumping which makes me panic more.  I am sure you have nothing to worry about, the sensation does subside after a short while, but if it does worry you more then i would seek some more professional advice, but i think you would find that it is through anxiety, have a read up on the net about the side effects of panic and anxiety attacks, and you will find that tingling in the limbs is very common, x
