Is it really necessary to take medication for the anxiety attacks. I also have a problem, it comes and goes...I get a sharp pain right on my left breast, it get so worse I cant move...it feels as though something is going to break inside my heart or something and I can also not change the position of my left arm...I sit like that breathing in and out to calm myself down...then later on the pain goes away. What can I do?
I was taking Xanax and was getting more concerned about the addiction factor. the panic was getting so bad I was getting out of my car and running when i saw a friend. I finally told my dr how terrible they had become and she put me on Klonopin. I am finally feeling like a real confident person again. I tried alot of things but didn't want to start eating xanax. I take klonopin .5 2x a day with xanax as a back up plan. i have hardly needed the xanax and just feel very relaxed by klonopin. not buzzed or anything, just calm. Ask your dr. about this drug. my dr did say she thought i would be on it for along time but that is ok because it isn't the kind of thing you feel you have to have. i take it regularly though.great results.

How many mg of Zoloft are you on?!! I used to have uncontrollable panic attacks , and then i started on 25 mg, i didn't have anymore panic attacks after i started taking it then i moved up to 50 mg and it helped a little with my anxiety then went to 100 mg and that was wayyy to much ! ! So now I'm back on 50mg no panic attacks but still really bad anxiety. Everyone is different so your reaction to it could be better !If it's not better after 4 weeks of taking it i would take something else.And i've felt unreal too but in time you will learn how to deal with it, it's like a detached feeling, and sometimes because of panic attacks it can cause depression so that might be whats making you feel like that. Build up your timing gradually.If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom pranayam –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 15 to 30 minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs.You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.
