Great! So glad to hear it! Take care!
Thank you very much for your advice.I did call my doctor and my case manager and was honest.this never has happened before so they are understanding.but as you said by adjusting my dose by myself it did leave me in a bad position.no meds for 14 days.but they have a crisis unit that will help me.I wont be alone.and I feel much better knowing I was honest with them thank you :)
Well, then that's your best bet. You need to be honest with your doctor, explain what happened, and ask for help finding a solution. The next time you're in a position like that, always talk to your doctor, don't just adjust the dose yourself, as you found out, it can leave you in a bad position.
With the amount of abuse and diversion of these meds, pharmacies and doctors are getting stricter and stricter which is why people who are prescribed these meds need to be compliant with their prescriptions, so as to nnot put themselves at risk for being cut off.
Best of luck to you.
I never run out early.I don't abuse my medications.but I had 2 weeks where I had to deal with a very difficult fanily situation so I did double my dose to make it through I was way out of my comfort zone and falling apart.I have not spoke to my doctor about this.
Why will you be without it for 14 days? Did you run out early?
You need to talk to your doctor, as abruptly stopping a benzodiazepine can be dangerous. The Klonopin isn't really the best option. These meds are not directly equivalent, not to mention the Klonopin is long acting.
I really would urge you to talk to your doctor to find a resolution. If you're running out early, you need to address that, either by talking to your doctor if you feel you need a higher dose, or doing some soul searching if you're abusing your script.
Let us know how you're doing!
