Relentless Anxiety

I have had panic attacks off and on since I'm 21.  Usually following a somewhat traumatic event.  My anxiety seemed to have shifted to depression for many years and my Dr. put me on bupropion-around the same time I started going thru some really hard personal stuff.  The anxiety hit me hard as well as a new symptom that I refer to as crying jags. Went to Dr. and he didn't think it was the medicine-which did wonders for my depression.  I started counseling and have been re-learning coping skills, stress management, etc.  It helps sometimes but other times my anxiety/emotionality(comes 2nd) is horrific & I cannot get a grip on it-even with some Ativan and all of the coping skills I've learned so far. I also have these horrific chills and trembling inside that I've had for years-I call them cold flashes-they happen any time and have woke me up at night. I am suffering horribly with this anxiety and crying jags & feeling just the really awful awful feeling that I can't even put in words.  I feel like I'm losing my mind.  I went back to the Dr. a third time and said to cut the bupropion in half and start weaning me off it.  He still doesn't think it's the meds and that would be the only thing worse than what I'm dealing with now because I can't imagine being like this forever.  I thought maybe it's the birth control pill as well- I don't know. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!!

This may sound too simple or silly, but have you had blood work to test Vitamin D, magnesium, Vitamin B12, iron (ferritin)?
What about hormone levels?

Blood tests:
25 OHVitamin D
Serum B12
Magnesium RBC
Serum ferritin
Hemoglobin

I was tested in Sept being anemic and had low vitamin D. I've had anxiety over the years, internal tremors for a few years.

Did you know that low vitamins and minerals in your body can cause anxiety, depression, tremors, headaches, body pain, etc...?

I just had some blood tests done-CBC, etc., thyroid, celiac(my dad has celiac), and lupus-everthing came back okay.  its been about a 1.5 year since I had my calcium&D levels checked. I'll have to bring that up to my doc. when I go back.  Haven't had my hormone levels checked so that is something else to look into. I'll take your tests suggestions to my Dr.  Thank you!!

Wellbutrin is the most stimulating antidepressant out there.  It's seldom if ever used by itself it the main problem is anxiety.  This drug could well be your problem.

Yes, I'm finding that out and my Dr. should have known that-I think I will get off  this stuff & see a psychiatrist to monitor meds If I need to go back on anything. Thanks for your reply.
