You could always see another doc if you think the first one is not correct. Your mind can make you think a lot of twitches are serious if you are over-analyzing yourself. Just read some other posters in the anxiety forum with their imagined heart issues. I was one of them - every night my chest would get pains and it kept getting worse because I was worrying -  until I got a good ECG reading, then I stopped worrying and my "symptoms" all went away.

Lots of people can never shake anxiety though, so you might be one of them or maybe you are one that a doctor can help. You have to talk to a doc to find out.

Yes, talk to your MD first before Magnesium, cause kidney failure is one reason NOT to take Mg. You MD could decide how it would affect you as it depends on the stage of you kidney disease...

  Thanks for the info!!!!

I have Stage 3/Stage 4 (it goes back and forth) Chronic Kidney Disease.
Perhaps that has something to do with why my Nephrology Nurse Practitioner advised me to only take the Vitamin D.

Or perhaps she isn't as knowledgeable when it comes to prescribing Vitamins as another type of healthcare professional might be.

I DO know that CKD can cause an unhealthy rise in Calcium levels.
I don't know if it does anything 'wicked' as to Magnesium.

I see my nephrologist next month and will pass on what you've told me and see what she has to say!!

My biggest problem is the fact that these sympyoms seam very real and since that day I have been in torture ever since I tell my self it's in my head then something dif happens n it sends the ball rolling again I would think someone would of have to of been in this situation before ... My biggest problem is not knowing if its not Hiv then what what is causing all these things to start hAppeming in my body and why do I feel so uncomfortable every day I haven't felt right for 3 months n it is taking a toll on me ....

From the Vit D study of Dr Sahelia, he states that Vit D should be taken with Calcium and Magnesium. And its important to know that as Vit D pushes these minerals into the cells where they belong, you will possibly experience aches and pains for a few weeks.. Just FYI so you'd understand what you will experience and not think that you are not getting better.

My doc didn't want to do a Vit D test until I took 3,000 per day for 3 months because she said it takes that long to get your levels up and everyone she had ever tested was low without vit D pills. SInce you are complaining of pains perhaps your doc will let you get tested now to rule out a deficiency.
We can't diagnose you so if you think the pain is real, you need to see a doc or even talk to your pharmacist.

Sheesh.  There's so many things that can cause those kinds of symptoms!!
It can be hard to dope out just what's responsible for it!!

You know, depression can manifest itself with fatigue and/or aches and pains -- and that's without recognizing that you are depressed.

Depression makes me feel like I'm made out of lead!!!  And like I'm immersed in a sea of jello or something that's hard to slog through!!

To anyone whose doctors are blowing off their complaints of fatigue and/or aches and pains, I hope that you will do all you can to ascertain that they are right.

I told all my doctors that I was experiencing terrible fatigue and that sometimes I was so wracked with pain that I could barely move.

Since a cursory exam didn't seem to show anything, they all give simple, 'non-problematic' reasons why it might be happening.
It took almost a year before some pretty serious health problems were uncovered.

Among them, a severe Vitamin D deficiency and anemia, as well.

If they run a routine blood test on you, ask them to check your Vitamin D level, too.  They don't always do it.
Or, if you feel like taking a supplement, at least ask if it would be okay to take 1,000 IU Vitamin D a day.  (Some doctors recommend 2,000.)

I'm kind of ticked that it took me so long to get a proper diagnosis.
And with no end in sight, yet, either!  LOL!!!  I'm still trying to 'fix' things!!

Good luck!!!  So many things could be causing your symptoms!!  I hope you puzzle it out soon and that you will soon be feeling better!!!

Hello, I had all body aches for many years at some point.
Correcting Vit D levels and taking Calcium helped clear my body aches.

Low Iron could cause fatigue and body aches, Low iron usually could happen to menstruating females  and they would not have any idea.
Ferritin is not usually checked by MDs, only if you ask.

It good practice to cook in iron cast skillet to raise and maintain iron stores. Iron in skillet leaks out onto the food and  multiplies amount of iron in food by 3x to 8x.

If your doc is correct when he says it is in your head, then it really is not real. Your only decision is to seek another opinion or deal with it. Many people can't shake the feeling they are in pain, have heavy limbs, or have similar false or minor pains when in fact nothing is wrong, however many, many, many more study the situation a bit and realize there is nothing wrong and  ignore the "symptoms" which then disappear for good.

I and many others on this board have had what we thought were a number of potential heart attack symptoms and went to ER to find out there was nothing wrong, just our mind worrying us so much that the worry symptoms were there so long that we start focusing on them. The result is we start taking notice of things we would normally ignore, a twitch here, an ouch there and before you know it you can count off 10 in a day, then you start sweating more worrying about them, perhaps your chest gives you more ouches and you sweat more, and on and on it goes until you start thinking your arm is a bit heavier than normal because perhaps it is going numb etc..
Once I had my ECG results saying there was nothing wrong, I stopped worrying because I know there is nothing wrong. For me, no further pains occurred and I have never even thought about it again. Some people suffer from chronic anxiety though, and can never get rid of the worrying and medical testing no matter how often they are told they are ok, but I imagine there are many many, many more like me who get the "cure" in the form of a test they believe in. Write back.

I think I mixed you up with someone else who had an HIV obsession. How are you doing now?

Sorry I missed your last post while I responded to the other one. Since you say your doc says it is in your head then no sense looking on MH for a different diagnosis. I don't blame you for posting that question but there is no info available here that can explain the pains and most likely they are anxiety related.
In the meantime I would start working on clearing up some of your other fears you have posted about on other threads - HIV fear being the main one. You got a lot of responses to that post so are you still convinced you have it? If so keep posting on that other thread you started because if you post enough times, then someone will eventually get the correct message to you in a way you can believe and you will be rid of that worry. A lot of pains will probably disappear if you can stop being anxious about it.

If they ache that much and you also mention a heavy feeling, you should see a doc for an opinion, since you are only 37 years old. Seeing a doc is the first thing to do for a correct diagnosis. It could be anything and no one on this forum can diagnose.

Did you see a doc about the heavy feeling? I met a young person who said he had lost much of his muscle power and his doc was working with him, so it does happen although it is a lot rarer than anxiety.
You didn't answer my other question.

You feel like you want to sleep a bit more. How many hours of sleep do you get?
Are you sure the heavy feeling in your arms and legs is not just something in your head? Lots of anxious people start paying extra attention to their bodies because being anxious makes you naturally curious about what dangers lurk. The more looking you do, the more little things that you would normally ignore start to instead make you fearful that something has gone terribly wrong. A twitch here and an ouch there are experienced by everyone on this planet, but if you start taking notes that can make you very frightened.

What do you mean feel like you ran a marathon - do you mean you are just tired or what? Lots of people are not morning people so do you feel energetic later in the day?
