Thyroid Tests

My doctor put me on alprozolam for my panic disorder because I have been suffering from brain fog. He believes that my brain fog is the cause of the aneixty. I told him to do a thyroid check to rule out the thyriod, the blood tests came back normal. So basically my thyroid is not the cause for my brain fog. I need help I really dont know what else could cause this I wake up every morning feeling the same way i did yesterday. I was hoping to get some relief from the medication the doctor put me on but that only lasted about a week and then I felt the same way I did before. I really need some advice of what could cause this problem. (maybe allergies) I dont have any to my knowledge. Please help Tom

Hi Tom, I'm not a doctor only a person who suffers with many issues due to all above etc.  You would be surprised what stress can do to any part of the anatomy.  It strikes slow and then with a vengeance!  Your head will fill like being stuffed with cotton first.  Then your eyes may start to blur, also.  I then get such a pounding headache that only bed rest can help.  I really feel for you because the worst thing is the not-knowing.  I hope you can find a kind and understanding doctor who will take your problem serious and perhaps find something to help ease your stress levels.  Stress management may not be enough though either.  You may have to ask the doc for some med,s that may give some help.  I hope the best for you.  Isn't it amazing of how many people are suffering from this same problem and don't have clue what is going on or how to get help for it?  Those are the ones you really feel for.  GOD BLESS THEM!!!!

Here's to  feeling better for us all!!!      Mai_ling

for me, a nerve pill was not enough. i had to get on a antidepressant, like lexapro, paxil, cymbolta. after it gets into your system the fog will lift. my dad also went through the same thing, he was on nerve pills for years but he still did not fill right, so after he doc put him on paxil he said he fills like a new man, go to your doc and talk to him
