Hi Angie,
Most common is chest pain, others are chest tightness, stinging pains in various chest area's, airway swelling, shortness of breath.
Yes, there can be. When I am nervous (which has been for a couple of months now), it can take a toll on you both physically and mentally. I have a 'sour stomach' and a lump in my throat on a consistent basis. Have you talked to your doctor about this?
Happens to me all the time. When I am tense, anxious and panicked I immidiately get it
Its one of those "double-acting" things. The reflux makes you uneasy, which makes anxiety worse, and the anxiety can prompt the reflux. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. A life of Tums. Not a pleasant thought. You can go the HealthPages (upper right of screen) and check for the FAQ on symptoms -there are zillions and the list is by no means complete, so there's your line-up of anxiety suspects.
You might want to take a real kicker of a a reflux fighter such as Prilosec OTC (with medical advice) because it does do a good job of knocking down the reflux -did wonders when I had it. And so, getting control of THAT problem may also relieve you of some anxiety -inasmuch as the reflux is a contributor.
Let us know how it goes with you, OK?
