Most definitely!
Training the mind to slow down in a fast-paced world is tough to do. It takes practise. It requires getting to know your own mind and remembering that both your psychological and physical health are most important above anything.
But trust me, the better you know yourself the easier it will get.

First off, as cliched as it sounds, take a deep breath. Getting oxygen to the brain helps clear your thinking and calm the nervous system.
Secondly, look at your thoughts objectively, remember that they are separate from you. They are JUST THOUGHTS. That's it. Just because you can think of possible things to go wrong does not mean they will. Did you know that creative people are more likely to suffer from anxiety? That's because of our wild imagination! Those who are not as imaginative tend to worry less because they don't naturally think of all the possibilities.

Next time you feel those dark thoughts creeping in, remember that you're the one in control. If a thought doesn't serve you, don't entertain it. Refuse to let them try take control of you. It it YOUR mind and YOUR body and you don't have to do anything that makes you feel bad.

Then, write out an action plan. Whatever it is you need-- money, health, strength, there is a way to get it.

If you ever need an ear, I'm here for you. I had dealt with anxiety my whole life and I definitely know where you're coming from.

All the best,
Brittany
