"Textbook" BP is 120/80, as stated above, although keep in mind that the figures can vary quite significantly, especially from person to person and at any given time of day and depending on the situation, the numbers can be higher or lower. A lot of people experience an elevated pressure simply as a result of taking the BP itself, or as an example, when in the doctors' office ("white coat syndrome"). You also have to be careful not to go overboard. If your BP is something you get very anxious about, it becomes very easy to start taking it too much, and of course, since the figures naturally vary, people become more anxious assuming something is wrong when they see the variations. Did your doctor recommend a home BP machine for you, and why?
Thank you so much for the information.
Your BP can vary each time you take your BP. Furthermore, some automatic cuffs are better than others, and you need to ensure that you use them correctly. Your mood can also definitley affect your numbers as well...keep us posted!

I am not a medical proffesional but the normal range should be less than 120/80,and 120/80 is a very good normal BP thats what i have been told by most doctors
